Harvest Festival - Donations Needed

Here’s how you can help make the Harvest Festival a success.

  • Donate season (or other) tickets to a local sporting event to include in our sports ticket raffle ticket prize.
  • Donate or ask a local restaurant/spa/salon to donate a gift certificate to include in our restaurant or spa/salon raffle ticket prizes.
  • Donate a bottle of wine or liquor to include in our spirits raffle prize
  • We welcome contributions from families and local merchants of paper goods, bottled water, soda, hot dogs, hamburgers, and gift certificates to purchase food and supplies. If you are a business owner, if you have a contact at an establishment that can help, or if you would like to help bring new supporters into the St. Peter’s circle, please let the committee know.

Class Craft

As the Harvest Festival nears, each class is working on creating an exciting basket to be part of the silent auction.  Check out the creative ideas this year, from ways to jump start your mornings with the "Good Morning” themed basket by Miss Wier's class which includes homemade granola, to a "Coffee and Tea" compilation from Mrs. O'Brien's class for that extra kick any time of day!  Have an upcoming birthday in your family?  Mrs. Wood's class is wrapping up everything needed for your child's next birthday party, including a gift certificate for a party at Philly Kid's Gym!  Looking for a little magic or intrigue?  Check out the baskets titled "Magic and Logic" coming from Mr. VanNesse's class or the City of Brotherly Love basket from Ms. Kulick's class.  Last, any Gleeks out there will be sure to check out what the 8th grade is pulling together!!  Check out the bulletin board in the parlor to see what other baskets are under creation, or check in with your class parent to see how you can contribute to your class efforts.  These exciting baskets will be available for display leading up to the Harvest Festival and bidding starts Saturday, October 23rd!!!  If you have any questions, please email Kate Donato (katedonato@msn.com) or Sharon Loughren, (sharon.loughran@temple.edu) Class Basket Chairs for this year.

Harvest Festival Raffle Tickets

Raffle tickets sales are a large part of the Harvest Festival each year. Tickets have been distributed to your children. Please sell/purchase raffle tickets early and often!

General Information

The 2010 Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday, October 23th!

Harvest Festival is a Parent’s Association event and raises money for St. Peter’s School. There are many ways to help make the Harvest Festival a success this year. More details will follow.

The Harvest Festival raffle is a major fundraising component of the event and includes many great prizes. Look out next week for packets that will be given to your child containing 50 raffle tickets. These tickets can be sold to friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, and any one else you can think of.

We need volunteers! To new and returning parents, please consider volunteering to help at this fun event. This is a great way to meet people, make friends and help your school. The dates and times of Harvest Festival planning meetings are posted on the bulletin board and will be announced in the Weekly Bulletin. Everyone is welcome to attend - or simply e-mail one of us and we will be happy to discuss how you can help.

Thanks everyone. We are looking forward to an exciting fun-filled event.
